Welcome to Neutralpedia!
Neutralpedia (NP) is an independent wiki platform that has been set up to supplement Wikipedia (WP) by being a home to neutral documentation of controversial issues. This is a mission that we believe WP is unable to fulfill satisfactorily due to some of its organizational characteristics. See also Wikipedia - problems and solutions. While helpful for encyclopedic non-controversial issues, the setup of Wikipedia works against three issues in particular: subjects where original research is important; "fringe" or minority interests; and political/financial topics where there is a financed desire for suppression. For now, Neutralpedia will focus on the science, data, history of, and discussion about, Climate Change - including Climategate in particular, so as to supplement, balance, challenge, and on occasion, correct Wikipedia and produce what we believe to be a more neutral picture of climate science. But as and when the major controversies with respect to catastrophic anthropogenic global warming are resolved by clear and openly-agreed science, Neutralpedia can develop other strengths; these are likely to be along the lines of a good "Citizens' Science".
If you are interested in helping us, visit Neutralpedia: Community Portal to check out our setup, log in with a user name, and use Neutralpedia talk:Community Portal to pick up on the latest discussions. This project has only recently started, and people are still welcome to add content in slightly chaotic fashion. Let's see where this takes us, then we can organize a little depending on what happens. Feel free to paste a Wikipedia article, then modify it; just add something like this at the bottom: "This article is based on content from Wikipedia."
